Only learned a few years after 2011 that MonHun was a cultural icon. I think I actually picked up MH2 on the PSP a few years before I picked up GEB, but its tutorial and controls weren't very intuitive or familiar to me, so I dropped it within a day. I picked up the Buckler while playing GEB and only occasionally used a Shield. They used the classic Chi-You Short Blade which has a Hold debuff on it, which is how I ended up playing GE and maybe also a reason for me being a Short Blade main, besides the fact that BB and LB were very slow for my tastes. I was in high school back in 2011 and saw someone from a different class play GEB on their PSP. Thought this would be an interesting topic for our small community.
